BNP Paribas Asset Management Alts
Adam has spent his career designing and implementing financial solutions to climate change and biodiversity loss. He is a recognised industry leader on the topic of carbon credits from the land use space. Adam joined AXA IM Alts1 in April 2022. Since 2013 Adam has been advising AXA on natural capital investments. Whilst working for leading NGO Rainforest Alliance (2009-2012) he pioneered the development of the REDD+ space, developing the VCS’s Jurisdictional and Nested (JNR) REDD+ standard, auditing over 30 REDD+ projects/methodologies and developing REDD+ and sustainable agriculture projects. At PwC’s Sustainability and Climate Change practice Adam advised some of the UK’s largest companies on their land use/deforestation strategy and helped the Government of Guyana unlock $50 million of performance-based payments from Norway. For eight years, as Chief Technical Officer and Investment Director at Mirova Natural Capital (previously known as Althelia) he helped build one of the world’s foremost natural capital impact investment platforms. Transactions he structured and executed have provided positive returns and significant quantified impact for public and private sector investors.
Adam holds an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from Oxford University and a BSc in Natural science from Durham University. Continuing to drive the industry forward he serves in Verra’s Forest Carbon Innovation Working Group.
- AXA IM (Alts) later became BNPP AM (Alts) following the acquisition of AXA IM by BNP Paribas in July 2025 and the combination of AXA IM Alts, BNP Paribas AM Private assets and BNP Paribas REIM.
