Fraudulent use of AXA brand – August 2018
We are aware of attempts to contact members of the public by individuals claiming to be employees of ‘AXA Hong Kong’. Please be aware that this is not a genuine attempt to contact you on behalf of AXA Investment Managers or AXA, and that members of the public who do so may become victims of investment fraud.
The group behind this scheme may contact the public using the following telephone numbers: 0800 862 0401 / 0845 862 0587 or by email from the following email addresses:

- wealthmanagement@axa.com.hk
We believe this to be a continuation of a fraudulent investment scheme previously reported to the FCA (https://www.fca.org.uk/news/warnings/axa-im-asia-clone), and encourage any member of the public who receives telephone calls or emails in relation to this scheme to report this to both the FCA and Action Fraud using the links below.

IPO Scam
We are aware of individuals claiming to be from AXA Investment Managers offering members of the public the opportunity to take part in initial public offerings. These emails claim to be sent from senior executives of AXA Investment Managers and the AXA Group from a false email account (admin@axa-imuk.com). AXA Investment Managers does not conduct business in this way, and believes this is a fraudulent investment scheme.
We encourage any member of the public who receives telephone calls or emails in relation to this scheme to report them to the FCA and Action Fraud using the links below.

Fraudulent use of AXA IM brand – April 2018
We are aware of individuals falsely claiming to be from AXA Investment Managers offering investment opportunities in forthcoming Initial Public Offerings (IPO) on US markets at discounted share prices. Approaches are being made by telephone and email, the latter of which uses a false AXA Investment Managers email address. Please be aware that AXA Investment Managers does not conduct marketing activities of this nature nor offer investment opportunities of this kind. We recommend that any member of the public who receives telephone calls or emails in relation to this scheme to report them to the FCA and Action Fraud using the links detailed below.

Fraudulent use of AXA IM brand – March 2018
Inheritance Scam
We are aware of individuals claiming to be from AXA Investment Managers to help members of the public access large inheritances. These emails claim to be sent from a false AXA Investment Managers address in Northampton. Members of the public have received emails asking them to provide proof of identity and inheritance, and to pay a non-refundable deposit in order to access funds. AXA Investment Managers does not conduct business in this way, and believes this is a fraudulent investment scheme.
Swiss Privilege
We are also aware of attempts to contact members of the public by individuals claiming to be employees of Swiss Privilege, part of ‘AXA IM Hong Kong’. Members of the public are receiving phone calls informing them that ‘Swiss Privilege’ is holding sums of money for them from previous investments held with other companies. Victims of this scheme are asked to top-up their ‘investment’, which will be invested with another investment firm for 6 months, before they can claim it back. Please be aware that this is not a genuine attempt to contact you on behalf of AXA Investment Managers, and that members of the public who do so may become victims of investment fraud. AXA Investment Managers does not conduct tele-marketing in this manner, nor offer investments in other firms’ investment funds.

We are aware of further attempts to contact members of the public by individuals claiming to be employees of the AXA Group, representing ‘AXA’ and the ‘Customer Service Team’ at AXA Investment Managers in Hong Kong. None of these individuals are employees of AXA Investment Managers and do not represent either AXA Investment Managers or the AXA Group.
AXA Investment Managers is notifying the FCA and law enforcement of this matter, but please be aware that if you are contacted by contact@axa.hk.com welcoming you to AXA and asking you to respond with a time for an advisor to call you, or receive telephone calls inviting you to invest or transfer money to anyone introducing themselves as working for AXA or AXA Investment Managers, that this is not a genuine attempt to contact you on behalf of AXA Investment Managers. AXA Investment Managers does not conduct tele-marketing in this manner, nor offer investments in other firms’ investment funds.

Fraudulent use of AXA IM brand - July 2017
We are aware of a number of attempts to contact members of the public by individuals claiming to be employees of the AXA Group, representing the ‘Wealth Management Team’, ‘Client Relations’, or ‘Client Support Team’ at AXA Investment Managers in Hong Kong. None of these individuals are employees of AXA Investment Managers, and do not represent the AXA Group or AXA Investment Managers. There are number of fraudulent investments offered, including a top-up of funds held on account for the members of the public targeted to take advantage of a special offer, and investments in other UK investment firms’ funds.

AXA IM would like to warn the public and our clients of possible fraudulent use of its name or logo by individuals who may have stolen the identities of its top management or staff, or those pretending to act on AXA IM’s behalf.
