AXA IM Alts is part of the BNP Paribas Group

James joined AXA IM in 2022 as a Junior Portfolio Manager within the Impact Investment Team. James focuses on a range of portfolios within the Impact strategy covering Healthcare, Natural Capital and Climate Technology and is involved with investment execution, investor relations and client reporting.

Prior to joining AXA IM James started his career at abrdn in 2017. James worked across abrdn’s European Private Equity team where he oversaw a range of portfolios covering a variety of strategies from Primary, Secondary, Co-investment and direct investments.

James also possesses a strong financial background, holding a MA (Hons) Business and Finance degree from Heriot Watt University and is a chartered accountant by training.

    AXA Investment Managers joined BNP Paribas Group in July 2025. Following the merger of AXA Investment Managers Paris and BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Europe and their respective holding companies on December 31, 2025, the combined company now operates under the BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Europe name.
