AXA IM Alts is part of the BNP Paribas Group

Niel joined AXA IM in November 2022 within the AXA IM Alts Impact team. He is responsible for all operational due diligence on new and existing investments. Niel has more than 17 years’ experience in the financial industry, starting as an offshore broker in South Africa until moving to the UK working in derivatives and asset management operations with Deutsche Bank, Northern Trust and JP Morgan.

Niel holds an IMC, IOC and Certificate in Financial Planning qualifications  and graduated with a Bcomm, Financial Management degree from the University of South Africa.

    AXA Investment Managers joined BNP Paribas Group in July 2025. Following the merger of AXA Investment Managers Paris and BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Europe and their respective holding companies on December 31, 2025, the combined company now operates under the BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Europe name.
