AXA IM Alts is part of the BNP Paribas Group

Shade joined AXA Investment Managers in 2005 and now leads the Impact management and measurement practice for the AXA Impact Investing Strategy as Director of Impact Management.

She has played a pivotal role in the development of the Impact Investing strategy since its conception in 2012 and has been instrumental in developing the platform’s Impact measurement and oversight model. Shade has played a leading role in shaping landmark Impact industry initiatives such as the Operating Principles for Impact Management, the IMP1 and represents AXA IM as part of its membership of the GIIN Investors’ Council. 

Shade was previously Head of Corporate Governance, where she directed AXA Investment Managers investor stewardship activities and worked with investment platforms to integrate ESG and impact considerations across asset classes and multi-asset solutions.

Prior to AXA Investment Managers, Shade was Manager, Corporate Governance at Henderson Global Investors and Deputy Manager at the National Association of Pension Funds (UK) where she advised pension funds on responsible investment issues.

Shade holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Tulane University Law School (USA) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Wolverhampton (UK).

    AXA Investment Managers joined BNP Paribas Group in July 2025. Following the merger of AXA Investment Managers Paris and BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Europe and their respective holding companies on December 31, 2025, the combined company now operates under the BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Europe name.
