Vinod Kanbi

Vinod has led investment diligence for Impact Investing since 2016 across managers, partnerships and direct investments. Vinod has been responsible for sourcing and executing multiple transactions across a range of impact themes covering both emerging and developed markets. Today Vinod focuses on the climate initiatives across the impact investing platform. He joined AXA IM1 in 2010 before taking over as Head of Research for External Managers across Hedge Funds, Alternative Credit and Impact Investing. Previously he led the research effort for the Alternative Credit platform since 2013 which included sourcing, due diligence and monitoring of strategic mandates with over $6 billion executed across private and public credit.

He has previous investment experience across the capital structure in Hedge Funds after starting his career with Morgan Stanley as an Investment Banker in Global Capital Markets where he was directly involved in originating, structuring and executing over €13 billion worth of deals for corporates.

Vinod is a CFA charter holder and has an MSc in Economics and Finance and BSc in Economics from Warwick University.

    AXA Investment Managers joined BNP Paribas Group in July 2025. Following the merger of AXA Investment Managers Paris and BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Europe and their respective holding companies on December 31, 2025, the combined company now operates under the BNP PARIBAS ASSET MANAGEMENT Europe name.
